The background music is awesome! Totally adds to the mashup. :)

You're over-rationalizing. It was just a fluke. It was the pilot episode, they were off-model. They decided later that Autobots couldn't fly. Not like this is the only inconsistency in G1...

In the first episode all of the Autobots could fly. Then all of a sudden they couldn't.In Five Faces of Darkness they attempted some kind of explanation for this saying that Decepticons were originally gladiators while Autobots were manual laborers and had no need for flight so the Quintessons didn't build them that way.

you have Retroactive Continuity in caps. Is that the name of a group that made a comic or a book or something or did you just mean the term and happened to have it in caps?
TheRealAlpha2 (January 1, 1970 at 8:59 am)
The original concept was that while many of them could fly, it was not nearly as fast as the decepticons. Retroactive Continuity later on made it as though they couldnt fly without special equipment ("Give me your rocket pack!") and thus a suitable distinguishing differeance/weakness for the autobots was born.

That's Windcharger. Symbols on all the characters had a tendancy to appear and disappear from time to time, chalk it up to the lovel of detail that went into the designs that made consistency difficult. |
