Sneaky died? I never knew that. Great shame. The first time I ever heard his pedal steel I was hypnotised..like many others I guess. I saw the Burritos here in England..the acoustics were playing havoc feedback-wise with the violin so Pete sort of doubled up...awesome

Just saw the recently released DVD entitled "Festival Express" from 1970 when a bunch of hipster musicians and bluesmen travelled Canada on a train doing shows. Great film and extra songs in features. The Brothers did "Lazy Day" in the film portion but there was not enough of Sneaky Pete's slide work on the film. Whatever happened to Pete?! Joe in DC but Who Remembers Back Then.....

What the hell are you talking about? Have you HEARD GP/Return of the Grievous Angel?
barrooman (January 1, 1970 at 8:59 am)
gram started all? the man got alot more credit cuz he was a pretty boy, hung out with keith richards and died an early death. sweetheart of the rodeo? two of the best songs on that album where penned by bobby dylan. chris hillman gets completely overlooked and so does dillard and clark and the band........ |
