This has a series of incredible melodies, one after the next... it's sounds as great today as it did back then, and will always sound great because it is so melodic. All guitarists should take note of Michael's less is more style and careful note selection. I have and it really helps. When Britain get's consumed by the sea, we should use this as our new national anthem :-)

absolutely true...when it was first released it was absolutely mind blowing as it still is..it has all the emotions crammed in a solo. A little down side was when with robin mc auley but back with a vengeance..a true king

Ritchie Blackmoore's ego shrunk after hearing Into The Arena and Captain Nemo. Lets see him compose and play solo like ITA and Captain nemo.

So awesome. These are how instrumentals should sound. Great beat, melody, pure feeling. Michael Schenker is the man on the flying V! Rudy's great too but he plays rhythm guitar.

You shouldn't omit the first album he did with the Scorps 1972's Lonesome Crow, He was 16. And UFO's first album Phenomenon came out in 1974. Both are brilliant.
